I went on a short
but busy city trip to Paris. I went to multiple museums and galleries.
Paris is museum wise one of my favourite cities, most of the museums
are free when you’re under 25 and the art collections are crazy.
I went with my
boyfriend and we stayed in an AirBnB perfectly located on the
Boulevard Saint Germain, in front of the Café des Flores. I’m a
hopeless romantic; I identify to practically every Jane Austen
heroine and can’t get enough of Manet and Renoir. You probably can
guess which museum I went first. Musée D’Orsay is one of my all
time favourite museums. I’m not going to talk much about it because
I don’t feel it is needed.
I also visited
Centre Pompidou (only the modern art wing, as the contemporary art
wing is closed until march), Omar Victor Diop, Malick Sidibé and
Chris Shaw at Galerie du Jour Agnes B., Per Kirkeby at Bernard Vidal
– Nathalie Bertoux and finally a few wings of the Louvre (18th
– 19th French art).
Here are my
highlights in no particular order:
